Stayed in the Saylomyen Hotel on Rd. 38 (big 4-lane road which starts in the center of town and runs to the east crossing the road to the Vangtao/Chongmek boder crossing to Thailand, Rd 13 South to the 4000 Islands and links with Rd 16 to Saravan, Sekong and Attapeu.

New hotel close to the main market and the Japan bridge over the Mekong at the eastern side of town - Coordinates: N15.11230 E105.81802

160,000 Kip per night (about 640 Baht) which does not include breakfast. WiFi was quite good and the hotel has satellite TV. Hotel is popular with Thai tourist. Thanks for the data point Auke. Was parking underground, behind the hotel, or in front and visible of passers by?

They did have parking in the front as well as on the side of the hotel where the bike would be more out of sight. Not sure if they had parking on the back as well but I assume so as they did have a rather large garden there.
