Neda set to fund new roads in Laos
The cabinet yesterday agreed in principle to provide 1.4 billion baht to help fund road improvement projects in Laos.
Deputy government spokesman Pakdiharn Himathongkham said the funding proposal was submitted by the Finance Ministry's Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Neda).
The money will be put towards two projects. One of the roads runs from Ban Huak in Phayao, Thailand, to Xiang Hon in Laos. The other links Khop and Ban Kon Tuen in Laos.
Mr Pakdiharn said the cabinet had asked Neda to study the designs and cost assessments of the projects and submit its findings to the cabinet.
