Some new trails that Jonny Sneds had discovered off the north side of the usual Mae Jo enduro loops. Be warned, they are pretty steep (If you're not a superstar rider, there's at least 2 sections where you might need assistance) , lots of loose rocks and many sections with no trails, you ride through the tree gaps.

Some sexy, light, powerful machines out of the back of the pickups

Con came along on the KLX 250, but wisely decided early on that this wasn't a good idea and turned back.

Onto the inclined trails, some regrouping at forks in the trails

For a rainy looking day, a great turn out

Max on the kick start Yamaha YZ 250 F motocross bike. The engine characteristics of motocross bikes arn't ideal to this kind of 1st gear, extreme enduro riding. You cant feather the clutch, they like either power on or off, thats it. Max did a great job on these narly trails.

The below video gives you an idea of how hard in steep,1st gear stuff, the motocross bike is to manage

So the loop north off of the existing Mae Jo trails is only around 40km but you will be knackered by the end of it

Great work out and an easy way to measure how fit you are (time for the gym).

Thanks for the pictures, was a great ride in Mae Jo and the rocky terrain was nice for a change. Not easy riding with the bike bouncing from rock to rock and the leaves covering them up. Also we got the best possible weather for a riding day, fresh breeze and cloudy but no rain.
