The route 101, 103, Hwy1, 1005, 1013, 1154, 1120, 1091
Total distance 389 km
An earlyish start and its the 101 for 100 km then a right onto the 103 which takes me to hwy 1 where I turn left and ride for 1 or 2 km then a right onto the 1005.
I am happy to be off the boring 103 and now stop for a couple of photos
Dirt track time to find this blue lake
No complaints about the scenery out here
I reach a paved road and follow it for a while until N18.45.523 E099.54.410 where I turn left to ride this rutted dirt track to my destination
I dont envy him riding that lot along the track I have just rode along
I reach the nearest point then its park the bike and walk 150 metres
Lompukiew Lake or the blue lake
The above photo actually catches the tail end of one of the large fish in here
It was a long ride to see this but its something that only ever needs visiting once
Now back towards the asphalt
Upon getting back to asphalt at my waypoint I turn left and stay on asphalt back to hwy 1 riding along the 1013
I stop in Ngao for refreshments then its the 1154 and along here the Yom river has a good fast flow
Sometimes the 1154 is covered in loose gravel, today there was none of this but lots of teak leaves instead, not that they presented any problem
A call in at the Mae Song reservoir on the way back and a lot more water in here than last decembers trip
Virtually at full capacity today whereas a year ago the water wasnt even reaching the bottom of the concrete
Some locals having a picnic here
A shot from along the twisty 1120 then its the 1091 and back to Nan
A pork pasta bake and garlic bread at Tonys Place tonight, 135 Baht and I was full, lovely it was too
