Beautiful Colin. Getting close now, you told me maybe Malaysia first, is that still the plan?

Lovely old bikes Cap.

The first Norton,is that the new 961?

I nearly bought a 850 cc MK3 Commando. Took my RM 250 MXer to trade on it and it was gone. Ended up with a 76 Bonneville that unbeknown to me (and the bike shop i bought from) had a hot exhaust cam in it also had Dunstall pipes.I could mono wheel it 1st.2nd,3rd gears....certainly turned some heads down the high street saturday morning shopping :)

^ just read up on them. stopped making them in 2006.

looks ok but not keen on the upside down race style front forks...doesn`t contribute to any sort of retro look to it.
80hp and push rods. pity they stopped making them as if they went down the same road as Triumph did they could have come up with some really well engineered desirable bikes.

oops edit;

After fifteen years of US ownership the Norton brand has now been secured by Stuart Garner, UK businessman and owner of Norton Racing Ltd. Garner plans to develop a new 15,000 sq ft (1,400 m[SUP]2[/SUP]) Norton factory at Donington Park.[SUP][2][/SUP] The relaunched Norton line includes three new versions of the 961 Commando; the 961 SE, 961 Sport and 961 Café Racer.[SUP][3[/SUP]

That`s more like it. Sporty look and sporty engine...in retro as well would be cool.
