Mini N.O.B ride Thurs 27th April, 2012

A last minute plan, Riders:

Con- Platinum 175cc with lots of stickers

Luke - Suzuki RMX 450 Z

Phil - KTM 300 exc-e 2 stroke

Luke wanted to check out the Mae Joe trails that the Nobbers had ridden the week before, Con knew where they'd been and was the scout

Let me guess.. the downslope of that hill ??

It was a stinking hot day, first stop was to check out the Mae Jo MX track

There's some beautiful single track trails in the Mae Jo area, the arrows were still on the trees from the previous enduro race

Won't be riding for a couple of days because of this crash made as a sacrifice to the N.O.B Gods

Even snapped my watch strap with the impact!

& then lost a Garmin 62s gps --no teather, my own fault.

yep good ride out! and some very very nice trails in that area,

Phil the watch mate, what were you thinking?? blinging up the jungle with a rolex you were asking for it!!

good day out though, enjoyed it..

Anyone have a gdb/gpx for this ride?
It's only about 10 minutes from my house and I often take the bike up in this area, but it looks like you found some trails further east than where I've been.

I wasnt with them on this one, but recognize the uphill lukes pictured on..

To get to that you would be starting by backtracking down the rd from the lake a short distance into those firetrails.. One heads up and along a ridgeline off to your right.. That then goes trail to single track to very very ill defined and down a long steep hill.. I would not imagine anyone but the best kind of trial rider would be coming back up that hill the other direction..

Form there that links up to all those connected sandy trails out between the lake and the temple ground. on the LHS of the Rd.

Some good riding out there, and as its sandy might be ok traction in wet times.

Rich --- found the tracks for Mae Jo, check out the .gpx attachment at the bottom of the field. Con lives 5 minutes from there and is always up for a ride too.

Thanks Phil
Yeah you found a trail at the top of the long steep bit that goes off East.
First time out there I went west and came to basically a dead end and had to do a 3 point turn on a 1 foot wide trail.
Good gentle trails apart from that bit.
Next time up there, I'll check out the other fork.

Thanks again.
