Around 3 weeks ago when Ducati Chiang Mai opened, apparently a Malaysian gentleman managed to pull off a con-trick and walked away with 2 Ducati's out of Ducati Chiang Mai.

We had a Chiang Mai policeman in the bar the other night, he conformed this and said the the Malaysian gentleman had been caught. Anyone else know more about this?

Just spoke to the guys at the Triumph shop & they tell me he also walked away with a new Triumph!

Apparently, the Malaysian guy showed on an internet screen that the money had been transferred to them & it was a fake screenshot of some kind & he was allowed to walk away with 3 bikes ( 2 Ducati's & 1 Triumph).

The Triumph guys had the registration number of the Malay's girlfriend and the Chiang Mai police were able to track him down from that. When they apprehended him he was carrying a handgun with no license which has got him in deeper trouble, he's currently in a Chiang Mai jail waiting deportation to Malaysia.

Don't deport him, let him rot in a Thai jail. He's gives the rest of us Malaysians a bad name :bash

Why deport? He was in Thailand, broke Thai rules, and should only be deported after he pay his dues.
