The Route 118, 121, 1001

Total Distance 198 km

First thing to do this morning was find some 1st class insurance, I tried Thaisri who I had the Phantom insured with but they only offered voluntary for 2500 Baht so I went back to Kawasaki and got 1st class for 9000 Baht, then it was past midday so only time for a short maiden trip today

I take the 118 past Doi Saket to see the hopefully full Mae Kuang reservoir and I wasnt disappointed

The road is disappearing into the water and its only the 2nd time that I have ever seen it at this point

270 km on the clock now and today I stopped to fill up with fuel, I had ridden 124 km since filling up on the day I bought it and it took exactly 3 litres, so 41 kpl or 113 mpg is what I got running around town, if it carries on returning this economy I will be happy

Followed by large lasagna and garlic bread plus an extra round of garlic bread, the lot for 209 Baht, spicy, tasty and very filling too

This restaurant has now moved again back to near its original location at 44/20 middle ring road or N 18.44.737 E098.57.261

No GPS track today

Nice first report Colin!

Glad to see the KLX is working out an living up to your expectations.

The map below shows the new location of Pasta & Pizza in Chiang Mai, south of the airport - still looks like they do a decent job there.
