Not a big fan of hard panniers but they are useful for camping and keeping your valuables out of sight and secure without having to carry them away from the bike. I have been looking for a set that was contoured around the exhaust on my V Strom and welded and not riveted and found a supplier in the most unlikely location.
SCI Electric Company based in Samut Prakarn have started a small side line business of fabricating panniers to order for various models, fabrication time is around two weeks and you will need to visit them to have them fitted in their factory, the cost of my set was 20 K Baht plus 7% tax which i thought was pretty reasonable. the boxes balance out evenly not like other set up's i have seen, they have a secure double locking mechanism that be be padlocked for extra security.
They claim 100% waterproof and after several pressure washing sessions i can confirm to be correct so far, finish is excellent with a black powder coat inside and out. Approx capacity is 40 and 35 litres, the only criticism i have is that the lids could do with some sort of restraining lanyard to stop them swinging back to the box body but that is easily fixed.
