"Just north of the Dokchampha Hotel is the Forest Retreat Bar run by a young NZ couple - nice place to wind down."

Manychan restaurant - Ok food but very "strange" service, almost Vietnamese style of service

Aha, I see they have changed the name of the bar now to the Bamboo Lounge - about 6 months ago or so it was called the Forest Retreat (see post 1)

Sitting in the bar at the Forest Retreat which is the business name of the whole enterprise, whilst Karen decided to name the bar area the Bamboo Lounge. I think there will now be a blue over this ;)

The beer tastes good, so does the pizza

Have you got the co-ords Richard?

It is right next door to the Dokchampa Hotel, so it is hard to miss.

At this stage they don't have Beerlao, only Namkhong, but he promises to get some in :) The issue is the beer fridge, it has been installed by Namkhong, so no other beer allowed in ;)

Cheers
