I have been looking for a Supermoto style bike for Thailand( I live in Lomsak the roads are twisty mountain roads great to ride). One of my 660cc Supermotos from home would have been great, but sadly apart from KTM(nearest dealer 3/4 hours at least away, for servcing and alike) there is nothing in this class in Thailand, unless you go older like the DRZ which are few and far between with a green book, or the Honda FMX which I have rode a few years ago and was not impressed.
I have read about a CRF 300 maybe in the pipeline but will that be released in Thailand. Or does any members know of something else in this class in the pipeline in the 400cc 600cc bracket,
So that bring me to why I started this thread . The Honda CRF250L or CRF250M seem my only real options. Most of the time will be on the roads around me which are good twisty and hilly which would suit the CRF250M,and get a spare set of wheels with offroad tyres for trips on the dirt. Or would it be better to get the CRF250l and get a set of road wheels .
Will probably have the wife on the back a fair bit as well
Any help or ideas , would be great please
Or has anyone got something for sale they might think would interest me

The CRF300 has been a rumour so far with little indications from Honda that it will ever materialise.
Indeed there are not a lot of options on the market in Thailand and I think in the near future nothing above 250cc motard style is in the planning.

Having said that, KTM has appointed a new distributor in Thailand and ended the agreement with Kunka.
Prices have started to drop a fair bit and service locations around the country might be a future step??

Just maybe at the end of 2016 the Royal Enfield Himalayan will start to see export but I am not sure it will come to Thailand and it is not a real motard....

There's also the Kawasaki D-Tracker, which can be modified with the 301cc big bore kit. 45.K Moto in BKK do a lot of work with these and offer the conversion. Every Sunday afternoon and evening a group of mostly D-Tracker riders gather at the shop to socialise. If you are in BKK ever I recommend paying a visit. Some really nice supermotos parked outside too.

Thanks Thanks Craigbkk looked at the DTRACKER, but would you believe the nearest Kawasaki dealer is 60kms away ,and when I went they only had 125cc for sit on, so could not really get a feel for it. don't know who much bigger the 250cc is

Yes have noticed KTM prices have dropped a bit ,but still be lucky to get a dealer near me in the near future.
I have never seen the Royal Enfield Himalayan, but Benelli Leoncino is similar and might make it here ,but don't think can wait that long

I have not seen either of the two in real but looking at the pictures the Benelli Leoncino looks like a copy of the Ducati Scrambler?!
The Himalayan (in my opinion) bears no similarity to the Leoncino, as far as I can see on internet pictures.

Understand you do not want to hold your breath till than, did you see the 400cc Ducati Scrambler Icon Sixty2 is now selling at 282.000 baht???
