Interesting. I do have First Gear heated gear, and last year was using USB charger attached to my Milwaukee drill batteries. Riding a couple hours last fall in the same temperatures we woke up to this morning, 3 c / 37 f, Wow you could suddenly tell the battery had died. That doesn't happen when plugged in to the bike. That day I used battery as I was doing some exploring off the bike.

This is something I will consider for my partner, its raining and those temperatures this morning, maybe a could wrangle her into a ride with a heated suit.
