Jumped on the scooter this morning and headed in an easterly direction from my hoose. Never really been over that way so just headed in the general direction and hoped for the best. Turned out to be quite a pleasant day, even ended up doing some off road.
Headed out past San Kamphaeng on the 1006 until I reached the 1229. 1229 is full of pot holes, however a nice road and pleasant scenery. Then turned left onto the 1230. This is a very strange road. The middle section of this turns into a dirt road but easy for a scooter. The tarmac sections have been neglected and we hardly seen anyone on this road. Anyway rather than me rabbiting on about what roads I went you can see from the map below.
I got sun burnt so nice a red at the minute

Wasn't the most exciting of rides but it was enjoyable and beats staying in the hoose and knitting

Nice Depeche Mode outfit, the cap is a particularly nice touch.

Was thinking more pet shop boys / Frankie goes to Hollywood..

Everyone I know that has bought one of the Honda PCX 150's absolutely loves it. In fact they all want to go touring on them.

Even the 125.. It pulls to over 100 (indicated) 2 up and rides smooth...

Yep, that is the first loop I ever rode on a motorbike! A bit challenging on a street bike when you get to the dirty bit.
Yesterday I was stuck in the mountains a bit east of your route along the 1230.

The viewpoint photo shows the Chiang Mai rock climbers' mountain (with Muang On Cave inside) in the center directly in front of the little mountain range. I gather some farang has named it Crazy Horse Buttress. Jira Restaurant near this mountain is the place to eat! Great food, great portions, great prices.

Ahh, my old neighborhood.
