I made a nice early start this morning, heading out on the 118 by 8am and it was rather chilly I can tell you
DSCF0368.jpg

At Mae Khachan I take the 120 and its started to warm up a bit now
DSCF0369.jpg

A reasonable amount of water flowing at Wang Nuea
DSCF0370.jpg

Quite a few other people were panning here as well
DSCF0372.jpg

A few km further on I take a right onto the 4017 and notice this shop with lots of old electrical appliances
DSCF0373.jpg

DSCF0374.jpg

I ride on for a couple of km then take an unnumbered concrete road to my left that takes me back to the 120, here I turn right and head east
DSCF0377.jpg

After a few km I take a left onto an unnumbered road that I havent rode before
DSCF0378.jpg

Its basically just sweetcorn/maize along here
DSCF0379.jpg

DSCF0380.jpg

The twisty road goes for five km then stops at a village
DSCF0382.jpg

A new one along with some old ones

DSCF0388.jpg

It was only a short trip but worth it, a well surfaced twisty road plus great scenery
DSCF0391.jpg

Back on the 120 heading east and this road is always a real pleasure
DSCF0393.jpg

I take a right onto an unnumbered road thats got lots of loose gravel along it in places
DSCF0394.jpg

DSCF0397.jpg

DSCF0398.jpg

After maybe about ten km it ends at a village
DSCF0399.jpg

DSCF0400.jpg

Not much activity going on here
DSCF0401.jpg

DSCF0402.jpg

Now its time to ride back to the 120 and head further east
DSCF0403.jpg

I stop at the Than Thong waterfall
DSCF0405.jpg

Just a little further on theres another small waterfall alongside the road
DSCF0407.jpg

I take a right onto the 2015 and this road is in a very bad state virtually all of the way
DSCF0408.jpg

The same crop being gathered everywhere today
DSCF0409.jpg

I reach the village at the end of the paved road and stop for pictures
DSCF0410.jpg

DSCF0411.jpg

The satellite dish has more than one use out here
DSCF0412.jpg

DSCF0413.jpg

I ride back to the 120 thinking that if only the 2015 had a decent surface what a fun road it would be
DSCF0414.jpg

At the 120 I turn right and ride west, at N19.07.528 E099.39.197 I turn left onto a dirt
track that my gps shows me will take me to a side road that joins the 4017.
DSCF0415.jpg

A rubber plantation here, unfortunately I come to a water crossing thats too deep and I
have no intention of getting the Phantom stuck so I turn round and ride back to the 120,
perhaps I will try it again after a few months
DSCF0416.jpg

I ride west for a while then take a left onto the concrete road that I roide earlier back to the 4017
DSCF0417.jpg

On the return ride I notice these people hard at work
DSCF0418.jpg

DSCF0419.jpg

DSCF0420.jpg

All very nicely done
DSCF0423.jpg

I am now on the 4017 heading south and good scenery in the background
DSCF0424.jpg

No mechanical machinery out here, its being cut by hand
DSCF0425.jpg

DSCF0426.jpg

DSCF0427.jpg

Opposite the temple the kids are playing at school
DSCF0428.jpg

It looks like some prizes are going to be given out soon
DSCF0430.jpg

After a few more km I take a left onto another unnumbered road that heads east,
I zoomed my gps in to maximum and still this road does not show, its a mixture of asphalt
and concrete. When I first rode here a year ago it was not a new road then, perhaps it will find its way onto the map someday
DSCF0431.jpg

DSCF0432.jpg

I cant fault the view along here either
DSCF0433.jpg

I ride to the roads end which joins one of the roads that I was on earlier then turn around
and ride back turning left onto the 4017 which soon meets the 1035, here I turn left and ride towards Chae Hom.
I take a right onto the 1187 then a right onto the 1252 then after about ten km its a left
onto the 4329 for Chae Son National Park, I say I am going to Chiang Mai and am told to go through, no fuss at all as usual
DSCF0435.jpg

Just after going through the NP
DSCF0436.jpg

The road has now become the 4074 and its time to get a move on as daylight is beginning to fade,
even with my early start time has got the better of me once again. I ride on and at the end take
a right onto the 3005 which takes me to the 118, here its a left and on home
