Got caught in some heavy rain into Chaing Rai, managed to get the train room in the Red Rose Inn in Chiang Rai. 500 Baht

Great views on the way up to Chiang Khong along the Mekong river

We peeled off the CR group ride at Chiang Khong, had dinner plans with David & Mia Bailey and a few friends. We stayed at the Nam Khong Riverside Hotel In Chiang Khong, 700 Bht including breakfast, great value.

Try the dug-out pineapple filled with shrimp fried rice, its huge and tasty

The ride back was pretty easy, no rain and no drama's, fantastic couple of days away from Chiang Mai.
