Along the 2031 I stop and this youngster seems happy enough just sitting there
I wonder what happens to them

I seem to enjoy spicy stir fries for breakfast lately and today was no exception, 30 Baht for this and my mouth was on fire for a good while later

One working and one sleeping
Just before reaching Hang Chat I take a right to follow a road that soon turns to a dirt track at N18.19.622 E099.19.046
In places its a rough track through the woods, I reach a piece of asphalt heading to hwy 11 but keep going as the gps map shows the dirt track joining hwy 11 exactly where I wish to cross over it. Unfortunately I cant get onto hwy 11 as theres a barbed wire fence so I have to ride east wards parallel with it until I find an opening which I did at N18.19.335 E099.18.010
After a couple of km westwards along hwy 11 its a left onto the 4008 and a new road that I wanted to try out for the first time, not far along here its the old tv shop
Riding along here and I spot this fan, is it my eyesight or a trick of the light because from here dont the blades look slightly like a symbol favoured by a certain Austrian gentleman during the middle of the last century
I am beginning to find the gps very useful indeed, I saw this road on my paper map but the detail from the gps is amazing, I take a side road and find a new reservoir along here thanks to the gps
Everywhere today there are lots of workers in the fields harvesting by hand
This very nearly ended up as a disaster, I wanted to ride to the top of the dam and saw a flat track up the slope, after reaching it I realised it was an irrigation duct and only narrowly avoided going into it. As I spent at least half an hour here and no one came along it was a lucky escape
The Phantom can stay in the shade while I walk to the top
This is the Huai Mae Klang Reservoir and its at N18.15.650 E099.12.568
I find the correct track up to the top and ride up there, this appears to be a reasonable sized reservoir but no idea where the overflow is, something to explore another day

The scenery is good, the road becomes the 5016 and the surface improves
I take a right onto the 1274 at Soem Ngam
I stop at the Mae Fok Reservoir at N17.58.922 E099.09.872
Plenty of fish in here Kevin, I saw some jumping about
Theres room for a few more in there yet
I shot from in the hills along the 1274 then its back to Cnx to eat
Chicken with parmesan, spaghetti and garlic bread at Pizza N Pasta for 159 Baht, lovely and was it filling.
