I had to ride for just under 4 km along the 41 but right opposite the Buddah I turn off and ride all the way to Surat Thani without touching it again

I better get used to seeing these considering where I am going

A pleasant ride down and I reach town around 2 pm
IMG_4054.jpg
I quickly find Kawasaki and they service the bike while I wait.
This means I can leave early tomorrow morning instead of wasting a day here waiting for the bike

I stay at the same place as I did when here three years ago at N09.13682 E099.33068
IMG_4057.jpg
Three years ago it was 200 for fan and 270 for aircon so an increase of only 20 Baht, the 200 and 150 prices are for a three hour short time rent

A comfortable bed with my own private toilet and shower

Just out of interest Colin, did you have to show your passport to have your bike serviced?

Sure looks good down there.

No I didnt get asked for any ID Ron, I brought the subject up and the staff there were amazed as they had not heard about it.
I was not asked in Chiang Mai either when I last had it serviced there in january despite this new ID thing supposedly started on 1st january

Hi Colin,

I was there last Sunday 2nd Feb with my family for an overnight trip from Krabi and we stayed at CBD Hotel in the town area near the river pier. Surat Thani is a nice place and less touristy than Krabl.

i will be in Ipoh next week and is still preparing my bike for the long trip up north and hopefully just a last bit of replacement parts. Have a safe and nice journey south and will be following your reports closely.

Looking forward to meet up for a drink and most probably some spicey indian food.
