Is this an early 750cc shovelhead?

^ Nope, sorry, wrong era (for shovels), wrong company. Shovelheads were built by Harley between around '65 to '84. This is an Indian Chief from a much earlier era (when Harley was producing what was known as the Knucklehead).

I bumped into this today. Lovely bike. 1956 Ariel Square Four. I hope I'm still riding when I'm the owner's age. He's had this bike for 50 years

Almost as bad as the Diavel.
