Bo Houay Namgnen
One of the touristic attraction in the Khamkheut district is the "Bo Houya Namgnen" also known as the "Cold Natural Pond" which is the source of the Namgnen stream which is located north of Road 8. I had seen the sign several times but never had taken the time to have a look so when I was again in the neighbourhood I decided to visit it. The sign said is was 2 km. from Rd. 8, another sign indicted 3 km. but in fact is was close to 4 km.
The track to it is being upgraded and it appears to be quite popular among the local as well as foreign tourists as there were hundreds of bottle caps lying around.
The entry fee is 20.000 Kip and it can be found, when coming from Rd. 13S heading east, just past the turnoff to Phonsavan (Rd. 1D) and the coordinates are N18.275370° E104.713350°.
