The 'Zero Emission' UDA-EV

DSC03443.jpg

Lots of interest around the massive Tenere 1200.
I was informed (misinformed?) that the XT660 will not become available in Thailand due to 'cost against competitors'.
A representative cited the CB500X as the 'competitor' to the XT660.

DSC03445.jpg

There was a huge amount of interest in the smaller Vulcan.
NB chain drive.
Two colours; black or white.
285,000 baht (which, I believe, is slightly more than the equivalent in USA).

More later, need sustenance and it's painfully slow WiFi here at the Mariya 'Boutique' Hotel.

Hello Bill.
Afraid not.
It was just standing there looking handsome as, with no-one in attendance and no info on bike.

Sorry guys but because of an inadequate WiFi service and disinterested staff here at the Mariya 'Boutique' Hotel the rest of this report will need to be done tomorrow. pillow

Thanks LR. Googling the name of the customiser in your link led me to their FB page

Looks like its a custom Ducati Monster 795 by Libero Moto Motorcycle Studio in Bangkok

Lots of lifestyle accessories on their FB page, expect they'll have fun with the new Scrambler.

The Honda 'Alien' (NM4) was on show.

The Anniversary Goldwing.
Yours for only 1,320,000 baht.

DSC03463.jpg

DSC03461.jpg

No-one at the Honda stand knew anything (seemingly) about the CRF1000L.

MV Agusta was there.

DSC03459.jpg

BMW were a 'no show', (update: I missed them and apparently BMW are there) as was Harley Davidson.
I was hoping to ask some-one at HD about the Street 500/750 but ..........

There was a huge amount of interest at the Triumph stand, probably due to their more friendly prices.
Although the Scrambler price doesn't seem too friendly.
Nor does the seating arrangement for the pillion's right leg!

A V-Strom set up for touring.

DSC03510.jpg

I was told that this accessory package adds 52,000 baht to the basic price.

The oil filter is a recognized vulnerability, so Suzuki have this shield for it.

The Ducati Scrambler. Nice.

The Expo is on until the 10th.
I have a few spare entry tickets for anyone who needs one. (pm me)

I like that Duke T too. Looks Scrambereque, nice and light too!

As a nice duke 200 customs sure. But the lack of front fender would be nasty in wet season..

OK, now to fix this 'attachments' nonsense. (tonight when I have a better WiFi connection!)

No-one at the Honda stand knew anything (seemingly) about the CRF1000L.[/QUOTE]
Meaning no word of 'true adventure'? Turn off yawning

OK, now back in civilization and photos are now visible.

It's a good show. Doors open at 11am and it's a good idea to get there early because the crowd build-up after lunch is considerable.
Another good idea is to take liquids into the hall because you wont be able to purchase any in the hall.

The Honda Alien might look better once it comes out of its packing case.

Planning on going this Friday. Haven't seen anyone sitting on the display bikes, is it not allowed?

Oh, at the Yamaha stand I asked about the FJ-09 and if it will be coming to Thailand.
"Maybe next year."

[h=3]anything at Honda about the 2015 VFR800X Crossrunner?[/h]

And this one too please Craig.

Suzuki's S40 Boulevard.

I asked recently at CMai Suzuki and was told 'maybe in New Year', but forgot to ask at the Expo.

Thanks for sharing these and doing the write up... great stuff!

Thanks for sharing these and doing the write up

My pleasure (well, apart from the woeful WiFi at the Mariya 'Boutique' Hotel!

As an aside, there were hundreds of people signing contracts for new cars.
If this goes on for 11-12 days the industry will be very pleased indeed.

DSC03529.jpg

I think (and hope) Triumph will have made a 'killing' too.

Anything of interest for us Dirty bike fanciers?

Yamaha just released a lovely WR250 and 250 FX dirt bikes for 2015. If anyone has a chance at the Yamaha reps could someone ask if they will be brought in?

Also a tip of the hat to the posters documenting the show, thank you.

Seems the 2015 Kawa Dtrackers will have a new fresh look with blacked out engine, my wife showed me a posting in her Facebook about it.....

The KLX will keep the alu colour engine.
