For those looking to cut down on the weight of a sleeping bag, a down summer blanket maybe just the job in SE Asia.

This Therm-a-rest Auriga Down Blanket (Long) only weighs in at 675g. It also allows for more movement on your mattress and easier temperature regulation.

Did you buy one?

Yes. Attached the loop stickers on my NeoAir Xlite last night and will let them cure for 24 hours.

The blanket feels very light and I like the ability to move around under it rather than in it. I often toss and turn and end up sleeping on my stomach and this is a lot easier with the blanket.

Two bags provided, one large for storing, the other you can see in the pic. No compression straps so if you want to pack it smaller you will have to use another bag.

Here's another more recent review of the same Sierra Designs blanket:

Just picked up an Auriga Quilt from the Stardome camping shop in Chiang Mai, 10,500 baht: note if you buy one there is a secret pocket that holds the mounting tabs to your Neoair mattress i spent 15 minutes trying to find the thing.
