Update November 14th - Police Major Somchai Maiman from Phuping Police Station told Citynews that the accident happened on Monday November 12th in front of Khum Phucome Hotel near the Huay Kaew intersection.
Because of the location, the accident was under the jurisdiction of Chang Puek police station. Police at Chang Puek discovered the body of the female passenger. Her identity is currently unknown. Police say due to the high frequency of traffic fatalities the accident was not reported in the media. At the time it was thought that the woman was the only casualty. The motorcycle was found at the accident scene and is now at Chang Puek police station.

Doesn`t sound good...

The police investigation revealed that that the man had come to Chiang Mai on 11th November. During the night of 12th November, police say he went out to a bar. At around 2 a.m. it is thought Dow left the bar with a woman on his 'big bike' which he had rented from a motorcycle shop. It's thought he hit a canal barrier and went over. The body of the woman had already been discovered, police say.

Sounds like he rented a big bike,hit the bars and grabbed a girl and bought them both unstuck.
