9-3-18 Mae Sariang-Two Visit The Mae Hu Cave

Just outside of Mae La Noi along the 1266 and the five weeks since I last rode here has seen the haze appear

Not much water in the river now

We make our way to the Mae Hu cave





We only had the torches on our mobiles for light to descend with

The flash from my camera soon lit the place up and we then found a light switch for the bottom cavern







There were a few bats up in that hole







Back outside the cave and we ride on along this concrete path





After about 1 km the track reaches these steps, I rode to here a couple of months ago late one afternoon but didnt climb up, today in the heat we did



A path to the right soon brought us to this

The long hot walk to the top finished here





It was breezy and cool in here and we relaxed here for a fair time to cool down



This would be a better view earlier in the season





Zooming in and I can see the single track that follows the river

Now time to descend back down into the heat



Looking back up to where we were and neither of us noticed it on the way up

That's wonderful.
They've hauled tiles, concrete and a darn rocking chair up to the site!
Apparently this cave-temple is maintained by a solitary Monk.
