A bit cooler today but still a pleasant temperature and its hotter then average for this time of year

That duck put on quite a show

Then it got up on the tree branch and performed again

The river Kennet just west of Hungerford

The homes along the Kennet have nice views and plenty of water for their gardens

Lots of blossom on that tree

This road should take me to Barbury Castle

From the car park it was a bit of a walk to the castle site, plenty of sheep for company up here

I think I missed the castle by quite a few centuries

I had a good walk around the perimeter though

Rape fields and possibly lavender above and to the left

This unpaved track should take me back to the paved road further down

Not what I was expecting or wanted, the Metzeler Tourance tyres on the GS didn't appear to like gripping too much on this wet surface

A bit better now

I was wishing I was on my KLX 150 today

Drier now but I am not feeling comfortable along this track on the GS and don't plan on trying this track again

The last bit back to the paved surface is a bit better

A white horse cut into the hill in the distance

A dirty bike now

The more I ride the GS the more I like it but as far as I am concerned its not an offroad bike, I was more comfortable on my KLX 250 offroad even with its high seat height but the GS is much better on the road

Homemade chicken tikka masala and brown basmati rice
