I rode there yesterday Phil, did the visa as well then rode back today

There is a sign saying only two walk overs to get the 30 day exempt stamp per calendar year, they gave me a 90 day stamp by mistake

Thought it was one day!

How is the visa run crossing, Mae Sot - Mywaddy? Presume there is a sign "No crossing if you do not have a Thai Visa"?

At the Mae Sot crossing, they will tell you this verbally and either refuse exit or require proof such as in the form of an outbound airline ticket to allow exit. As Captain Slash mentioned, only the two visa exemptions per year applies sign is posted.

Since the e-visa scheme was launched last September and the border crossing has become the most important overland crossing between the two countries, it's quite rare for visitors to go only on a day trip anymore.
