At the entrance to Singha Park and lots of people here as usual

IMG_9686.JPG
Now on the road to Doi Chang which will soon get very steep

Doi Chang reservoir

IMG_9689.JPG
An overflowing reservoir like we want to see, I noticed water was flowing in from a river
IMG_9690.JPG

IMG_9691.JPG

IMG_9692.JPG
I can ride through water now without the bike conking out unlike on the KLX
IMG_9693.JPG
Now for the long climb up
IMG_9694.JPG

IMG_9695.JPG
It steadily cools down and at the peak its decidedly chilly

At 1564 metres its a different world to what it was like in Chiang Rai

IMG_9701.JPG
As I start to descend towards Doi Chang the fog soon goes and its a bit warmer

Doi Chang through the trees

She is well wrapped up from the cold
IMG_9704.JPG
I dont envy those kids in that cold water

Coffee beans being dried
IMG_9711.JPG
Those beans look like something is sticking them together, I have my suspicions on what it is
IMG_9713.JPG
At Doi Chang Coffee Farm and I buy a 1 kg for 350 Baht, I cant imagine many people only buy 500 gm for 250 Baht when for an extra 100 Baht you can have 1 kg

This cup of coffee is a work of art

Now for the more scenic ride down to Mae Suai
IMG_9720.JPG
Coffee trees everywhere up here

I ride up to the dam and was expecting to see water flowing over like is normal here and its a beautiful sight too with the white water cascading down, but today sadly its not happening.
It looks like some serious damage has been done here and we can no longer walk over the dam

Hopefully it will be restored to its former glory soon

Riding back along the 118 I noticed a paved road going off to my left that said Singha Park and wasn't on Auke's map.
It looked like it would go in the right direction to join up with the 1211 and it did, cutting out going further along the 118 then doubling back along the 1211, a useful find
