Massaman chicken curry and tasty rice at North West GH 80 Baht

This was the culprit, luckily I had my spare tube in the panniers so not too much of a problem, the tube was torn apart where I rode about three km with it flat.
Tomorrows first job is to go to the Castrol Bike Point and get a new inner tube plus the rubber band that goes around the inside of the rim which was also broken, the rear brake pads need replacing too.
Doubtful I will bother riding all the way up here if I cant get an early start so finishing off finding those villages will have to wait

I feel the back end getting a bit unstable and ride as quickly as possible to the only village nearby

Riding back on another unmapped track and lovely views

All these villages and time is getting on so that was going to be tomorrows mission

The pig has found something of interest in the dirt

It helps having the village names in English

An unmapped track takes me through Om Lan

Another one not much further on

Good views from up here, the boss of the workers tells me they are putting a water tank and toilets in for this rest stop

My lunch stop

Following that along here is not nice but he quickly sees my headlights through the dust cloud and pulls over to let me pass

Someones grave across the field

Two sets of gates had to be dismantled to get through

An unknown settlement along the new track

I ride the track until it reaches a track already on the NT GPS map then find another unmapped track to explore

I ride the short single track link ups and these are stopped track side for lunch

A side track takes me to here

Linking up with yesterdays track and its a bit dusty following the pick up truck

My first new track of the day is the official road to the Ban Mae Tum villages

The view from the bridge of two rivers converging

Whichever way you look from up here villages and tracks can be seen

The enemy at work along the 4015

Another chilly early morning start but once up in the hills past Huai Hom it warms up a bit
