Yamaha Square have the new 2012 Super Ténéré 1200 in their showroom, with all the extra's we're told the price is 890,000 Bht.

Looks a bit of a beast to me as an " Adventure Bike"

Braking gear looks excellent

Interesting shaft drive arrangement, hopefully there's a weep hole to alert you to when the rear seal is leaking

Engine looked great as you would expect on a big new bike, comes with engine guards

Seat looked cheap

As an around-the-world, tarmac gear hauler, might be ideal.

The bike that really caught my eye this year was the Yamaha XT660Z Tenere

We must have seen about 6 of these new bikes coming through Chiang Mai on a round-the-world ride & every single one of them had said they had no problems with the bike at all. Most if not all of them had ridden all the way fro Europe.





Real shame this bike isn't available here, I would buy one
