Chicken from outside KP Supermarket and fries from Intira 135 baht

These buffaloes are being sensible in the heat

Unbelieveable, water everywhere and a bloody fire burning

As they wanted photos so we wanted the favour returned

The one on the left keeps on taking photos of us, our bikes and my GPS, I am asked if we are NGOs, I said no and that was it.
They then went on to say it was dangerous to go any further and the other side would shoot us, the usual old rubbish to justify an excuse, what they didn't know was that Christian had rode further for maybe 2 km until he couldn't get up a jump.

The soldiers have followed us and don't want us to proceed any further

Christian manoeuvring through a tricky section

We follow a track up river to see where it goes to and this narrow gate needed dismantling

Army camp in Myanmar

Looking downstream

We have our lunch here and this shop actually sells bottles of water

Thai Army camp on the hill

Finally we reach the Salawin river and the trip has been completed

Luckily the air filter is still dry

Christian rode through the deep part of that and is soaked up to the waist

We just got used to riding on dry land then its back to the wet stuff again

We reach a village and fuel is sold here in bottles

We pass these people about 2 km past Huai Haeng and on the ride back we pass them again still a fair walk from Mae Sakoeb

I was expecting it to be all river bed riding but its a mix of that plus water crossings, riding alongside the river and a bit of elevated stuff

Now river bed riding and it was about here where I turned back on my previous trip

We reach Huai Haeng

We set off along a very dry track and I really notice the dust that Christian's bike is throwing up, much more then when we last rode together about a month ago
