One track that looped was mostly double track but just before returning to the 108 it turned to single track

Mid afternoon and the sky darkens, each time I stop I can hear thunder but no rain where I was

I passed through Mae Sariang a couple of days ago. Think I spotted you on the Main Road. I've never been there before and it does have a different feel to it. Absolutely Huge Area to explore. I'd be interested in your views and some comparison between the KLX150 and 250 as you've ridden both extensively now.

The 250 has much beefier suspension front and rear and on open tracks I would ride it a lot faster offroad standing on the pegs, whereas on the 150 I mostly ride sitting down as the pegs are slightly more forward and as its a lot smaller its a bit cramped standing on the pegs.

I left some narrow tricky tracks unexplored on the 250 as I was concerned about getting stuck but once on the 150 I went along them.

On the road no comparison, the 250 is much better for travelling between towns, I left standard gearing on the 250 but on the 150 I have a smaller front and larger rear sprocket so now its running the KLX 125s gearing and revs out too much.

In Kawasaki Chiang Mai I saw the new 150 with full size wheels which I thought was a waste of time as its got the 250s high seat coupled with the 150s shortcomings but I guess someone must be buying them.

Overall I prefer the 150 with its lower seat height and less weight and the extra confidence it gives me for exploring awkward tracks

Thanks Cap'n , exactly what I wanted to know. cheers.

Even on Google Earth with their imaginary tracks all over the place it still looks like a lot of those areas are track free
