Again !

Bangkok to Chiang Mai derailment.

"...six carriages ended up leaning against the tunnel wall..."

More here ...

Well, the saga continues with derailment No. 12 I think: A train used for maintenance work derailed today ( 4 September) at kilometre marker 571/13 between Kaeng Luang and Pak Pan railway stations in Phrae's Den Chai district on Wednesday morning, disrupting train services to the North, reports said.It was the train's locomotive that derailed. The reports said the State Railway of Thailand had sent repairmen and machines from Lampang and Uttaradit provinces to salvage the locomotive.

It sounds like the whole area is unstable.

If the roads in the mountains are anything to go by,understandable.

^ they`re having a bad trot....maybe someone forgot to apply the handbrake?

I see the train driver has been quietly moved to pilot for Thai Airways but not having much success there either. oops !
