Chicken khao soi 50 Baht but not as nice as the other meal I ate here

I ate here again tonight

Just as I reach the paved section of the 3004 these poor bastards are entering the bulldust section but have wisely got their masks on

Now riding back and not looking forward to the bulldust again

It was a bit of a shock seeing her just wandering along right out here

It too becomes a hiking track just past here so no luck today reaching the Yuam

Back along the track and another single track goes off it so I explore that

Just past here the track becomes a hiking trail so its turnaround time

Even if I can get down there it looks like there is still a fair amount of water in the Yuam

This track on the south side of the Yuam is what I am searching for, now to find how to get to it as I have been told some of the UN guys drive through the river to reach the refugee camps from Ban Tha Song Yang

Now single track

Here the double track finishes

Finally I can see the Yuam

Another track goes out for a fair way

This is a camping ground

I leave the bike against the tree and walk down a bit as I am getting concerned about the lack of traction on those leaves.
I decide to go back as I am not sure about getting up again if I go any further downhill

The track turns to single track and gets quite steep downhill

Now to explore out the back to see if I can reach the Yuam river

But these got a bit camera shy, they were very chatty though

Friendly people here

In Ka Lo Kho but the school has a different name, the locals confirmed the village name so no mistake on the map

Still quite clear up here

It joins a track already on the map but a new track for me

I take an unmapped track I spotted a couple of months ago and finally I am on a decent rideable surface

When I was last up here a few weeks ago the track was being graded and I was hoping for a pleasant compact surface, I think instead they got lots of lorries full of bulldust to fill the ruts in with, its a slow tricky ride until reaching the paved section north of Le Kho

This is what its like at the end of the paved section of the 3004
