When I bought the Wave I had no idea there wasn't a proper pair of handlebars under that plastic to attach my GPS to, initially I wrapped a lot of old innertube around the mirror stem and clamped to that but it wobbled all over the place.
Above is done with a harder material and it was a lot better but hitting bumps made the GPS cradle keep sliding around out of position

Yesterday I got this and thought my problems were solved
IMG_9440.JPG

I thought these were made from metal but when it arrived I found out it wasn't
IMG_9441.JPG

At least its firmly attached and stays in place but it wobbles a lot and I am concerned it will snap off when I am riding offroad

Todays (hopefully) final solution to the problem

The genuine Honda Wave mirror with GPS mount attached to it

A piece of handlebar with a hole drilled in it for the mirror to go through then its welded together

Joe at Joe's Bike Team made it for me this morning for 300 Baht

It still moves slightly as its attached to the mirror and will never be as good as attaching it to handlebars but this is the best option so far.
It remained in place and was readable even offroad riding today.

As I rode off from Joe's place I rode past Chiang Mai Suspension so called in expecting to hear they were still waiting for my rear suspension and front fork upgrade kit to arrive from Bangkok.
To my amazement he showed it to me, it all arrived this morning
