Simple tool for making routes

Could be handy for people who find BaseCamp unnecessary complicated when it comes to routes (myself included). Double click on the map where you want your route to start. Double click yet again on the map where you want your route to end. Double click on the map where you want your via points to be. Works with Firefox browser, probably not with IE.

Where do you get straight lines, on the GPS or the computer?

If you import a GPX route to BaseCamp it comes up with straight lines between via points. This is because BaseCamp use "Direct" as default profile in route options. To change this you double click on the route, select the route options tab and select a suitable profile from the drop down menu.
