Sending custom routes to a Garmin Zumo 220 - delay
We were making some GPS routes in Garmin Mapsource for a round-the-world rider last night to be used on his Garmin Zumo 220.

The routes sent fine in the "send to device command" (from the computer to the Zumo 220), when we opened custom routes in the Zumo 220 nothing was there but the waypoints in the same data file that had been sent were showing up. We changed the route file extension from .gdb (garmins proprietary file extension) to .gpx (universal route file extension), this didn't make any difference, still no custom route file showing up in the Zumo 220.
In the end we left the Zumo alone at let it search through its own memory, looking for custom route files & in the end it found the custom route file, it took 10 minutes to find the file! Might be useful for other Garmin Zumo 220 users to know.
