Honda have specified in Europe that all of the new 500 twin models must have a full valve clearance and shim check at first service and in EU thats £300 or 350 euros faliure to do so will result in Warranty being VOIDED !!!!!

this is pissing off a lot of owners with a shock bill at first service ,,, are they doing it in Thailand because if not the bikes may suffer severe valve train damage ,if not adjusted at first service ,,,It is Imperitive that they are checked according to HONDA UK and also HONDA service schedules issued to all european dealers ..

what is honda Thailand policy on this? , as the bikes are made here

I have spoken to a few Pattaya owners and some are saying the valves were not checked ????, others say o the book was stamped so it must be OK , TIT

i guess a year or 2 down the road ,, the real truth will out when a lot of worn valve trains start being seen in Thailand

A 'second-hand' purchase risk in Thailand.

I'm unimpressed by the way all the Honda service dealers I have used refuse to perform the full
documented service schedule.

'Big Wing'; are you watching?
