2 stroke 250 Yahama enduro bike available November 2016!

With demand increasing for the Japanese manufacture to announce something fresh in the pre mix department, Yamaha have answered that call with the WR250 for the European market while North America gets the YZ250X cross-country version.

Closely based on their motocross YZ250, the WR250 features enough enduro modifications to keep the consumer happy. However, those hoping for an electric start version will have to wait a little bit longer as the 2016 model appears to be kick start only.

[h=3]Engine[/h]The YZ250 motor has always been a popular base for those converting a motocross bike to enduro. For 2016, Yamaha have adapted that engine for enduro with the fitment of a modified cylinder head, new power valve system and CDI unit.
The WR250 2-stroke is also equipped with a wide ratio 5-speed transmission as well as an enduro friendly exhaust system.

[h=3]Chassis[/h]The WR250 keeps the YZ250 lightweight aluminium frame, while the KYB® air-oil separation (AOS) type front forks and the link-type Monocross rear suspension feature enduro-specific settings. The new WR250 2- stroke is fitted with an 18-inch rear wheel and Metzeler 6 Days Extreme tyres, while the latest.

I wonder if it will make its way to Thailand and if so how much

Doesn't the WR250 X already exist as a 4 stroke Supermoto styled road bike? The YZ250X however, is already available(without lights) and I believe there is a also an XR version with a lighting kit. I also wonder if it will ever make it's way over here.
