There seems to have been heavy rain in Laos - these are pictures apparently taken this morning of the Nam Khan river which joins the Mekong in Luang Prabang (pictures courtesy of Luang Prabang Moradok posted on Facebook)

This should be from rain in Laos as the Nam Khan runs to the east from Luang Prabang and you will cross the Nam Khan river if you drive offroad from Luang Prabang via Phonxay to Phonsavan

News in from "Luang Prabang Moradok" this morning is that the waterlevel in the Nam Khan river has dropped. Also Rd 13 near Xieng Ngeun (a bit south of Luang Prabang) is now open for traffic again (a short stretch was closed yesterday due to the floods/heavy rain).
