One of the easiest places to get authentic, non-tourist photo's in Chiang Mai - The night time farmers market, on the Ping river, just north of the U.S Consulate.

Get there after 7.30pm (1930) and you'll see a great collection of farmers bringing their crops down from the fields.

You will find that most of the better restaurants in Chiang Mai get the produce from here as its fresh and the cheapest prices

This old lady was having a snooze

Check out the old fire engine and the southern end of the market too (at the fire station)
