On Monday Derek fitted rear-facing and forward-facing cameras to his beautiful BMW 1150RT.

On Tuesday, mainly to test the cameras, he rode from near the CNX airport to meet me at Doi Saket Temple.
We had a chat, including about 3D printers, over a tea and coffee there with Kevin.

Derek rode back to his home.

At some insane hour on Wednesday morning I get a message;
"Bugger Bugger Bugger. Sometime yesterday the right side cover went missing on my bike. Guess it fell off.
Damned expensive too I reckon a 3D printer would be cheaper!"

I hadn't seen any BMW panels on the roads around Doi Saket, so it had gone AWOL either on the way to or from the Temple.

Later that night he was struck with an epiphany. "Suppose I could look back through the camera and see where it fell off!!"
So he did.

From the footage somewhere near Global House he noticed a black plastic panel separating from his bike, falling onto the road,
narrowly missing following traffic and settling off the road beside plastic markers.

So, not feeling too confident about reclaiming the panel, he road out to the scene of the incident today and reclaimed the panel!
It was only slightly damaged.

Panel replacement around 5000 baht plus Thai Customs. Camera 3000 baht.
Derek wins.
