Suzuki V Strom Stator Recall

If you are an owner of the latest generation of V Stroms (2014 onwards) there is a recall on the stator or starter as we English call it. Suzuki appear to have neglected to contact owners of this fact, contact your local dealer h to have the work done FOC, if you time it right and have the work done while having a service then you will not pay for the oil change since this would need to be drain as part of the starter recall. You may have to wait a while, i waited 5 weeks for them to get the starter in stock.

The new starter is in the top of the picture, i am no expert but clearly all the coils in the new one are now plastic coated.
