South of Nan, the ferry across the Sirikit Reservoir

About 60km south of Nan, on R 1026, there is a town called Na Noi, that hasn't really been discovered. What makes Na Noi interesting in respect of a place to spend the night, is that it's at a crossroads of several choices of roads when heading south (1083, 1016, 1216).

There is a decent guest house about 1/2 km north of the junction of the 1083 & 1026 , on the 1026, LHS when heading north. It's behind a small restaurant karaoke bar that does good Thai food. Clean rooms with air con., 400 bht (photo of room below):

The 1016 south to the Sirikit Reservoir is a beautiful road no cars with breathtaking views. some of it along a ridge line with views both ways.

The ferry across the Sirikit Reservoir is on a barge towed by a long tail dingy. They charged me 100 baht for the ferry which takes about 20 minutes to get across.

About to board the ferry
