Very similar things have been done DiY (for much more money) in the hobbyist long range drone segment.. To enable control signals to go longer range (80 km etc) having directional antennas fine tuned with the GPS of the drone and GPS of the ground station and the differential calcs..

This just crushed the costs of that..

The only problem with the soloshot is the further away you are from it the better it works, and with motorcycle videos, you need to be close to the camera. Th soloshot 2 has a minimum distance of 200' I've read for it to work properly. I did just see that the soloshot 3 just came out, and it has an indoor function which might work ok for motorcycle videos. I would love to see some examples. I love making self shot motorcycle videos here in PNG and am always looking for a better more professional way to do it. For some of my self shot videos, check out my FB page.
