I was interested if there was a trail over the mountains linking the general area near Mae Tha 18.59785,99.243264 and the Ban Thi reservoir area near 18.610458,99.197259. I headed south on the Superhighway (11) and took a left at the 2031 about 40 km south of CNX.

I turned off the 2031 near 18.581754° 99.261991° and made my way as far NW as I could.
The trail turned to dirt, then single track.

I head back out. There were some minor water crossings.

It's quite spectacular when you're in single track surrounded by tall grass and it opens up to this.

I head out to the 2031 and see this sign so I go investigate.

I wonder if THIS track will go up and over the mountains...

I made no attempts to get into the jungle but this second track may go further back and possibly up and over the mountains.
150 round trip from CNX today.
