Tour starts and ends in Chiang Mai. It goes through northern Laos to the top of Yunnan Province China, situated on the Himalayan Plateau proper.
Mind-blowing roads. Fantastic scenery. A unique cultural experience riding through rural China. Visit 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
There's only a small window of good weather opportunity for this 22-day tour.
Start date is Sept. 23, 2013; return to Chiang Mai Oct. 14.
