At the heart of rainy season in SE Asia, you have to give the trail riding Gods some respect.

South of Doi Suthep, west of Hang Dong there's some great sandy tracks that can be ridden all season round.

We started out around the back of the Night Safari/ Botanical Garden area - nice sandy gravel trails. Coming out of one area, we came across this notice which was quite a shock, we'd never seen this no-entry banner before.

Got a horrible feeling we're going to be seeing more of this

We found some steep stuff to the south that's marked on the map above - Justin testing the handguards on the KTM 250

The Baan Suan Ka-Fe at the foot of the Last-Man-Standing trail makes a really nice stop half way through the day, packed with Thai's so you know it must be good value.

There's another very cool restuarant/ coffee shop at the foot of Last-Man-Standing trail. 200 meters up an unmade truck road called the Valley Cafe

They have a few peacocks running around, one of the male cocks is extremely curious and attacks you with his feet when you arrive

The Valley Cafe is a really nice place to hang out if you want peace and quiet - how you'd ever find it if you didn't know it would be impossible - its worth going there to see the curious male peacock alone
