Pretty new to taking video, have been shooting stills for years. Anyway mounted the GoPro on the bike yesterday and shot this little ride around my neighbourhood:

It came out of the cam great but the quality was toasted after uploading to YT (which took hours). Any tips on getting good quality vid online without taking days to upload it or losing quality?

No alternative. Upload 720p at least. It'll take time though.

Yes, uploading is a bitch in Thailand with these crap connections.
I'm on a shared 3bb adsl line, that's shared between 20 or so users, it would take me around 4 hours to upload a 600 mb file on that connection, so I have been uploading in 1080p, but using my iPhone as a modem.

I've figured out the quality issue but now we have a problem with audio.

I'd like to add some royalty free sound tracks to the ride videos (as the rumble of the bike is a bit monotonous) however YouTube flags whatever I use (even free stuff) and prevents me monetising the videos.

Any suggestions to adding music to videos? I've tried the "add audio" option in Youtube with their own music suggestions but it doesnt work.
