Postponement of FMSCT and R2M Meeting on 15-16 October

Following an inspection today at Thailand Circuit, Nakhonchaisri and in view of heavy rains forecast for 15-18 October, the FMSCT Road Racing and R2M Meeting has been postponed for one week, until 22-23 October.

Many teams had expressed concerns about the risk of flooding, so the re-scheduling dispels any immediate uncertainty.

As the revised date clashes with the Malaysian MotoGP round, the riders who had intended to compete in the supporting Malaysia Super Series races may be forced to re-think their plans to protect their positions in the Moto3 Production Championship.

Here is the announcement from FMSCT:

R2M Super NakedBikes & FMSCT Thailand Road Racing on 22-23 October 2011 at Thailand Circuit, Nakhonchasri, to be postponed, due to Thailand Flood Alert and difficulties for all participants. The amendment date shall be informed soon. We wish all participants can stay high, dry and safe with everyone and their families.
