Northern Enduro 23 July pics and video

I turned up at the 700 year stadium at 9, 10 or 11am to find the start was going to be 3pm at the Xcentre.
I had a plan to ride the back way up doi suthep to catch the action, but couldnt fix the dirtbike in time, so got to the Xcentre in time to see the Princess and the start
Then I rode towards samoeng a few miles and followed the flags to near the rocktower/viewpoint on the northside of the road and tried to find a spot to catch some action without getting in anyone's way.
Had to make do with some muddy puddles and a couple of slippy spots
You can see in the video a white pickup driving up the narrow track of the course, where the riders were coming down

as it was getting dark I left and got to the finish line in time to catch a couple of riders there, but didnt want to hang on for the last ones

Great video Alex -- look forward to seeing the photo's up there, thanks for taking the time, shame the FIM international side of it had to cancel due to lack of funding.

if you left the trail, and almost hit a tree, I didnt get a good pic cos you were so fast

if I took a foto of you, it's either here or in the video, or it didnt come out good.

Alex from someone that knows this kind of stuff, this is the answer i received

"Only reason I can imagine is to give the header pipe more length. They wanted a certain length and had no room to fit it.So this way it increases the length of pipe.Open to any other suggestions though

Who won the event? gotta be someone from chiang mai as they ride these tracks every sunday! why didnt you enter Phil?? i reckon you've covered most of these tracks on bike/foot in recent months......

Here are the winners of the open on the podium. I don't have a picture of the results board. I only really know Thon #5 although I've seen a few of the other guys around. Maybe you know their names.
