This will allow me to fit a Power Commander and dyno the bike properly BUT I dont have access to a dyno!!
Have you had your bike dyno'd with each ECU?
No dyno in China for bikes to my limited knowledge. Know of one for cars near Shanghai but wouldn't put my bike on that particular one....
Do not have a Powercomander, Fat-Ducs or Bazazz or whatever they call the add-ons nowadays installed.
Running a Termi (full length) TI muffler (end can) but have larger custom header pipes (the Termi header pipes sit u-used on the shelf).
how each ECU/Mapping combination you own was set-up acquired would be greatly appreciated.
Through a family contact in EU specialising in ECU tuning and software in general working with a few race teams.
The two re-programmed ECU were tested with Ducati MTS1200S bikes in Europe and just use them and very satisfied by the seat of the pants feeling.
Just want to hear from someone thats used a remapped ECU without being dyno'd, maybe they were just lucky.
Call it lucky or whatever but happy with the MTS and so far (knock on wood) not faced any of the little niggles some MTS owners complain about like brakes, fork noise (clunks), DES error, etc.
Ok, need to admit one problem that drove me nuts as I was getting sick and tired coating the nuts and bolts with chain lube on top of cotton buds after washing and polishing the MTS...
Replaced all possible bolts, nuts, screws with Pro-Bolt UK titanium bolts as the ones from the factory started to rust slightly (the allen head screws were the worst inside the heads).
I want mines to go like this...
Scored a brand-new full Akrapovic TI race system but not installed or tested as of today, not with me in China just yet and was told the bike might need dyno run or several for proper set-up. Shall find out one day, no rush over here....
My MTS needs the full desmo / belt service done sometime in May (depends on my upcoming travel and riding schedule) and will change over drive chain and sprockets to F15/R42 from the original 15/40 factory set-up.
Two sets of forged Marchesini rims (1x magnesium / 1x alloy) arrived as well end of last year in Shanghai and might get a set of TKC80 on the original Enkei alloy rims....
the never-ending story!
